The intensive course on software testers training starts on the basis of Tomsk State University (TSU), it conducted by the Tomsk Rubius company; as a company representative told RIA Tomsk, about 70 people had already completed training in the last year — mostly humanities scholars, 16 of whom eventually found jobs in the highly paid IT industry.
Earlier it was reported that the "Quality Assurance" course was first held at TSU base in March of last year with the support of the TSU Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. QA-engineers are engaged in quality control of software development, it is one of the most popular specialists in the field of IT, but so far there is no such program at universities.
According to the representative of Rubius company, three enrollments were completed during the year, were trained 70 people wishing to enter the IT sphere with traditionally high salaries. For example, now on the website hh.ru there are 27 active vacancies of QA-engineers, the starting salary - is 30 thousand rubles, in the first six months an adequate specialist reaches the level of 50-60 thousand.
“To be testers retrained mainly art & humanties scholars: Russian teachers, marketers, lawyers, linguists. There were also managers, hairdressers, engineers, economists, hr-specialists. As a result, new work in leading companies ("Atomic Soft", "Positive Technologies", "RosInnovation", "Connective Game", "Rubius", "INTEC", Center of Financial Technologies) found 16 people", - the interlocutor said.
She said that the next set is now underway, intensive course will start on February 18, it will last five weeks and will consist of seven modules covering the best practices of testing, automation, user interface and team work. Training requires only a basic computer skills. The course is paid, the schedule and cost can be found in social networks.
