TOMSK, May 14 – RIA Tomsk. The forum of young scientists U-NOVUS officially began in Tomsk on Wednesday, it was opened by the governor of the Tomsk region Sergei Zhvachkin, reports the RIA Tomsk correspondent.
Earlier it was reported that U-NOVUS-2019 will be held in Tomsk from May 15 to 17, with representatives of industrial enterprises, innovative business, universities and academic institutions taking part in it. The forum has a practical focus. Workshops, lectures and other events will be held for participants and citizens.
At the opening ceremony of the U-NOVUS forum, Zhvachkin delivered a welcoming speech and answered the questions asked in the Instagram account on the forum.
"This year the forum program is saturated to the limit. These are our branded workshops, the famous Science Game, these are dozens of other events. <...> The task of the authorities – is to help people find each other, help business and the authorities find each other", – Zhvachkin answered the question of TPU graduate student Ekaterina Chudinova about what the head of the region expects from the forum for.
After the official part, 10 mini-lectures will be held by representatives of the "SIBUR", "TVEL", Clover Group, DI Group, Cognitive Technologies, Gazprombank companies. They will be devoted to topics relevant to the business and scientific and technological community.
Then the Rostelecom, Clover Group companies and the Association of members of technological circles will sign cooperation agreements with the governor. Next will begin workshops and hackathon. And two lectures at the "Boiling Point" will complete the first day of the forum.
