The regional center of competences of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) "Sensorika" (Sensorics) opened on Wednesday at Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics, this is the second such center at the university, the RIA Tomsk correspondent reported from the scene.
Earlier it was reported that in the summer of 2018 in TUSUR, with the participation of Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), the first NTI regional center of competence in the Siberian, Ural and Far Eastern federal districts was opened in the direction of "Wireless and IoT technologies".
According to the press service of the university, the regional center of competences of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) "Sensorika" (Sensorics) become the second in TUSUR and the fourteenth of the centers of competence for end-to-end technologies in the Russian Federation created in the interests of the development of new NTI markets and the "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation" national project.
Representatives of administration of the Tomsk region, university management and the Vice-Rector for Research of National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET) Sergey Gavrilov, who is also a participant of the project, took part in the opening of the center, which is located in the TUSUR business incubator on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street, 147.
"We are very pleased that in TUSUR there are many events related to the information business. Just a week ago, we opened the "Boiling Point" here. This time we are already opening the second NTI competence center on "Sensorika" (Sensorics) subject. This is a very advanced technology, end-to-end technology, important for the Tomsk region", - said at the opening the deputy governor of the Tomsk region for economy Andrey Antonov.
"I’m absolutely convinced that such a regional NTI competence center "Sensorika" will allow us to create many new breakthrough technologies that will be suitable not only in our country, but will certainly be very competitive on the world market", - the rector of TUSUR Alexander Shelupanov told journalists.
According to the press service of the university, a consortium of 37 educational and scientific organizations, research and production enterprises and development institutions of Russia was formed for the development of the center, and it also included JSC "Proton Plant" and PJSC "KAMAZ". The Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology and the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of Rusnano act as strategic partners.
