marathon was won by Alexey Troshkin from Saransk, he ran a distance in
42.2 kilometers in 2 hours 15 minutes and 57 seconds; winner among women
was resident of Omsk Marina Kovalyova for the second year who ran
marathon distance in 2 hours 42 minutes and 11 seconds, press service of
mayor's office reported on Sunday.
Earlier it was reported that
on Sunday in Tomsk the second track and field athletics marathon passes
on Sunday in Tomsk. Distances are provided in 5, 21 and 42 kilometers
and a children's running are provided. Professional semi-marathoners
will run 21 kilometers together with participants within the Russian
Cup. For participation in runnings more than 4000 people, including 596
athletes on a distance in 42.2 kilometers were registered.
"Among
men 32-year-old Alexey Troshkin from Saransk who overcame a marathon
distance in 2 hours 15 minutes and 57 seconds got the first prize of the
marathon running. Among women the victory was won by 34-year-old Marina
Kovalyova from Omsk who overcame a distance in 42.2 kilometers in 2
hours 42 minutes 11 seconds, having become the two-time champion of the
Tomsk marathon", – it is said in the statement.
It is added that
at a semi-marathon distance in 21.1 kilometers Stepan Kiselyov from
Naberezhnye Chelny (1 hour 5 minutes 2 seconds) and Tatyana Arkhipova
from Cheboksary (1 hour 13 minutes 35 seconds) became the first. As it
was reported earlier, on a distance in 21.1 kilometers 1655 runners were
registered. According to the mayor's office, 35 athletes from different
regions of the country took part in the Russian Cup on a semi-marathon.
Earlier
it was reported that Yury Chechun from Samara (2 hours 21 minutes 52
seconds) and the resident of Omsk Marina Kovalyova (2 hours 40 minutes 7
seconds) became the winners of the Tomsk marathon in 2018.
