TOMSK, Oct 8 – RIA Tomsk. The American company Keysight Technologies retrofit laboratory operating at TUSUR with modern equipment in the field of the Internet of things (IoT devices), as well as 5G/6G technologies,; this will allow the university to improve training in the field of microwave, micro- and nanoelectronics, the university’s press service said on Tuesday.
Earlier it was reported that in 2015 Tomsk State University of Control Systems (TUSUR) and Radioelectronics together with the American company Keysight Technologies opened a research and educational centers (REC) to create microwave devices and integrated circuits. Keysight is a global leader in control and instrumentation solutions for the telecommunications, defense, aerospace, engineering, instrumentation and electronics industries.
"At the meeting between TUSUR and Keysight Technologies were reached agreements on the development and retrofitting of the previously opened in the university REC "TUSUR-Keysight" in the areas of IoT, 5G/6G-technologies, as well as participation in the international programs of Keysight Technologies and development of new educational programs for the basis of the training sets of this company", – is said in the message.

Currently, REC "TUSUR-Keysight" has two training and research laboratories: computer-aided design of microwave devices and microwave measurements, equipped with advanced instrumentation and software from Keysight Technologies, the report noted.
Agreements on the retrofitting of REC were reached during the international conference "European Microwave Week" (EuMW 2019), which was held in France. In addition, the rector of TUSUR Viktor Rulevsky and the head of the Department of Radioelectronics and Communication Systems Alexey Fateev held meetings with representatives of German universities and Copper Mountain Technologies company, is said in the report.
