TOMSK, Feb 7 –
RIA Tomsk. Total volume of agricultural
exports from the Tomsk region in 2019 reached 27.8 million dollars, which is
almost twice as much as in 2018; Kazakhstan, the Netherlands and Mongolia
became the leaders in the purchase of Tomsk products, the deputy governor for
agro-industrial policy and environmental management Andrey Knorr told reporters
on Friday.
Earlier it was
reported that, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for
Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance), in 2019, agricultural enterprises
of the region exported 1.76 thousand tons of their own products. In particular,
1027 tons of poultry meat and offal were delivered to China, 635 tons of pork
to Mongolia and 104 tons of ice cream to Mongolia, China and Uzbekistan.
"The amount
of exports, according to departmental accounting, has grown from 12.03 million
dollars to 27.8 million dollars. Oil and fat products, cereals, meat and dairy
products, prepared foods and other products are exported", – Knorr said.
He specified
that 60 Tomsk companies acted as exporters of agricultural products. The main
consumers were Kazakhstan (5.95 million dollars), the Netherlands (3.83 million
dollars), Mongolia (2.21 million dollars) and Latvia (1.58 million dollars).
China among importers is only in the fifth place (1.35 million dollars).
"The
agricultural sector grew due to (the creation of production) rapeseed oil, due
to the fact that China began to take our poultry meat, due to pig production
and, in part, organic products. Well, wild plants, wines that go to China,
Kazakhstan and Mongolia", – Knorr explained.
According to
forecasts of the regional department of socio-economic development of the
village, in 2020 the volume of agricultural exports should grow to 30.5 million
dollars, follows from the materials of the Federal Service.
