RIA Tomsk. Tomsk bus station is ready to return money for
all previously sold tickets to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, since the transport
connection through the Russian-Kazakh border for any type of transport, except
diplomatic, was stopped on Monday morning, the deputy general director for
operation of Tomskavottrans JSC Valeriy Zhuikov said RIA Tomsk.
It was
previously reported that an outbreak of pneumonia caused by a new type of
coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 was recorded in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019. The disease
is called COVID-19. According to Izvestia, as of the morning of March 16, about
170 thousand people were infected in the world, almost 78 thousand were cured,
and more than 6.5 thousand died. In Russia, the diagnosis was confirmed in 63
patients, including two in Kemerovo.
According to
Zhuikov, from Monday, the Tomsk bus station temporarily does not sell tickets
for runs from Tomsk to Pavlodar, Semipalatinsk, Karaganda, Ust-Kamenogorsk, as
well as run passing through Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan – all of them were
canceled.
"A decision
was made by the president of Kazakhstan to declare a state of emergency in the
territory of Kazakhstan in connection with the spread of coronavirus. A
restriction on entry and exit from Kazakhstan for all modes of transport,
excluding diplomatic <...> from 08.00 on March 16 is declared. For what
period, no one says now", – Zhuikov said.
He added that
those who bought tickets earlier have the right to a refund and can contact the
ticket office of the bus station.
