TOMSK, Mar 17 – RIA Tomsk. Medical control and mask regime in connection with the coronavirus pandemic became mandatory for Tomsk airport employees, air disinfection was provided in passenger rooms, aircraft and airport processing regime was strengthened, the press service of the air harbor announced the introduction of maximum protection measures against infection.
Earlier it was reported that with the onset of the coronavirus epidemic in China, all those who are from abroad undergo special control at the Tomsk airport: an employee of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) interviews aircraft crews about the presence of passengers with characteristic symptoms on board and remotely measure the temperature of all. This measure should prevent the introduction of infection into the region.
According to the press service, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the region, maximum preventive and protective measures were taken at the airport of Tomsk.
"For all employees, a mask regime and mandatory medical monitoring of health conditions were introduced. The regime for processing and disinfection of aircraft and airport terminal premises was strengthened. Recirculation units operate in the premises of the largest crowds of the terminal to ensure air disinfection", - the airport’s director Anton Perfilyev quoted.
In addition, the airport additionally acquired additional means of prevention for employees: "There are a sufficient number of masks, disinfectants, and anti-epidemic suits".
"In the case of a passenger suspected of coronavirus traveling to the airport, a special algorithm of actions has been worked out in accordance with the "Operational Plan of Primary Epidemic Control". The airport operates normally, all flights are carried out according to the schedule and all measures have been taken to create a safe mode for passengers", - is said in the statement.

According to Izvestia, as of on the evening of March 16, more than 171 thousand people were infected in the world, more than 77 thousand were cured, and more than 6.5 thousand died. In Russia, the diagnosis was confirmed in 93 patients, including two in Kemerovo. Preliminary diagnosis was made to one resident of Krasnoyarsk. There are no coronavirus patients in Tomsk.
