TOMSK, Apr 3 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education will fully resume distance learning of students, master's students and postgraduate students on April 6, the press service of the university said on Friday.
Earlier it was reported that due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection, the week of March 30 to April 5 was declared non-working in the Russian Federation. On April 2, the president extended the "vacation" until the end of the month. However, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov recommended all universities to resume the educational process in a distance format.
“On Monday (April 6), TPU resumes training in a remote format. All processes are debugged, the system is operating normally. Webinars will continue on schedule, more than 1200 online courses, equipment simulators, dozens of TPU services that do distance learning comfortable and efficient, re available", - the press service quotes the first vice-rector of TPU Andrey Yakovlev.
As previously reported, on March 17, TPU transferred 12 thousand students and postgraduate students to distance learning. For this, the university has opened access to more than 1200 online courses available in LMSMoodle.
