TOMSK, Jul 8 – RIA Tomsk. The massive open online course (MOOC) of Tomsk State University (TSU), which helps to plan a career and find work in an international company, was included in the twenty most popular MOOCs in the world in July according to the Class Central portal, the press service of the university said on Wednesday.
It was previously reported that in June TSU launched the course "Career planning: resume/CV, cover letter, interview" on the Coursera platform. Its students will learn how to choose the perfect job, create a resume focused on a dream job, write a cover letter, prepare for a successful interview. The author of MOOC - is Peter Mitchell, associate professor of TSU, practicing translator and consultant on intercultural communication.
"The massive open online course of TSU "Career planning: resume/CV, cover letter, interview" entered the twenty most popular MOOCs of July according to the Class Central portal. The Class Central international portal unites all the major educational platforms on which MOOCs are published", - is said in the message.

It is specified that in the top 20 courses of July Russia is represented by two MOOCs - St. Petersburg State University ("Japanese for Beginners") and TSU. In general, the thematic courses in the ranking cover a wide range - from singing popular music and voicing educational materials to marketing analysis, data science and transformation of the global food system.
“On the Coursera platform, Peter Mitchell's online course gets the highest marks. Its average score - is 4.9 out of 5 possible. Nearly 2500 people have signed up for the course in less than a month since launch. The main audience - is young students aged 18 to 35”, - the report says.
