20 – RIA Tomsk. The capital's medical publishing house published a textbook on
pharmacology by the head of the Department of Pharmacology, Honorary Professor
of Siberian State Medical University (SSMU) Alexander Vengerovsky; the manual
is intended for students studying in the areas of "Pediatrics" and
"General Medicine", the press service of the university said.
According
to the press service, the educational publication of the Tomsk professor has
been awarded the stamp of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the
Russian Federation. It is recommended for teaching students of specialties
"General Medicine" and "Pediatrics", and can also be used
by students of other specialties of medical universities.
"Textbook
"Pharmacology" authored by the head of the Department of
Pharmacology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Worker of the Higher School
of the Russian Federation, Honorary Professor of Siberian State Medical
University Alexander Vengerovsky has been published in one of the largest
Russian medical publishing houses "GEOTAR-Media", – the statement
says.
It is noted
that the new textbook covers modern problems of general and private
pharmacology, pharmacological properties of modern drugs, peculiarities of
their use in medical practice and clinical approaches to the pharmacotherapy of
diseases.
"Pharmacology
is one of the fundamental and most important disciplines in the professional
training of medical specialists... The Tomsk school of pharmacologists has a
glorious history. The publication of this educational publication marks the
continuity of its best traditions", – the press service quotes
Vengerovsky.
It is
specified that the textbook is available in electronic form on the website of
the publishing house "GEOTAR-Media" and on the educational resource
"Student's Consultant". The printed version of the manual will appear
in the Scientific Medical Library of the Siberian State Medical University in
the near future.
