TOMSK, Apr 13 – RIA Tomsk. The re-exposition of the exhibition "New Life. Siberians Free and Involuntary" will start working in the Tomsk Museum of Local Lore on April 14; at the opening, viewers will be able to see objects of peasant life, books and documents of settlers, watch an interactive performance, the leading expositioner of the museum Alyona Shafer told RIA Tomsk.

Earlier it was reported that the Tomsk Regional Museum of Local Lore in 2014 opened an exhibition on resettlement to Siberia, which tells about the voluntary mass peasant migrations of the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries and the forced resettlement of dispossessed peasants in the 1930s in the Tomsk region. According to Schafer, the old exhibition was held on a smaller scale.

"A completely new artistic solution, the saturation of new meanings, new objects, new solutions of the exhibition, a completely different presentation for the audience. At this exhibition we talk more about free Siberians, why people moved to Siberia - this is the question we primarily pose ourselves," - the interlocutor of the agency said.

The exhibition will open on Wednesday, April 14, at 15.00 in the Tomsk Museum of Local Lore. The main characters of the project are ordinary Siberians, our ancestors, because most of the modern inhabitants of Siberia are descendants of resettlers. "This topic is very important, because we all somehow appeared in Siberia. We have a separate website, and there anyone can share their story," Shafer said.

The exhibition will be held in two halls of the museum, where items of peasant life, books and documents of resettlers will be presented. At the opening, viewers will be able to go on an excursion and see a small interactive performance from the life of displaced persons. In addition to the exhibition, a number of thematic events will be organized. For example, in May the premiere of an augmented reality play based on the project will take place; it will be the first in the 7x7 cyber theater.

Earlier it was reported that a 7x7 cyber theater using augmented reality technologies will open in the Tomsk Museum of Local Lore in 2021. The performances will take place in a unique space - a small prefabricated pavilion, approximately 3 by 7 meters, specially created for this project. For the implementation of the project, the museum won a grant in the amount of 1.5 million rubles.
