TOMSK, Jun 3 – RIA Tomsk. Gazprom
Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov and Governor of the Tomsk region Sergey
Zhvachkin agreed to create a technological field testing site in the
region to test and introduce advanced tools for searching for
hard-to-recover oil; the company will present a prototype of industrial
technology by the end of 2021, Gazprom Neft's press service reports.
It
is specified that Gazprom Neft is implementing a large-scale Paleozoic
project in the Tomsk region to develop hydrocarbons from pre-Jurassic
deposits. It will make it possible to produce up to 1.3 million
additional tons of hard-to-recover oil annually from 2025. At the St.
Petersburg Economic Forum on Thursday, Dyukov and Zhvachkin signed an
agreement to expand the project, which will complement the 2019
Memorandum on Technological Partnership with the company.
"Gazprom
Neft and the administration of the Tomsk region plan to create in the
region the first in Russia technological field testing site to test and
introduce advanced tools for prospecting reserves of the pre-Jurassic
complex. The partners intend to jointly establish laboratories for
specialized research and applied developments. Cooperation in the sphere
of education and scientific-technological activity will continue", – says
the report.
Within the framework of the project the
partners plan to develop a digital platform. It is a virtual model of
the field testing site and online database of research and testing. To
implement the project, efforts were joined with Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU). Today, the development of Paleozoic deposits is
already underway in the Tomsk region in the fields of
Gazpromneft-Vostok.
"Already by the end of 2021, we will
present a prototype of Russian industrial technology for the exploration
and production of Paleozoic hydrocarbons. The project is of great
importance for the industry, as the prospects of oil production
development are connected with pre-Jurassic reserves not only in the
Tomsk region, but also in other Siberian regions", – Alexander Dyukov is
quoted as saying.
According to plans, in 2024-2025 the
technology will be replicated for the study and development of Paleozoic
deposits in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra and
Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
"Today we need a
technological breakthrough that will give a second breath to our oil
industry. The search for new efficient technologies of hard-to-recover
hydrocarbons production is a task of the national scale. However, our
Tomsk scientists and production workers have all the chances to solve
this task together with Gazprom Neft's powerful scientific and
technological block", – Zhvachkin is quoted.
Mutually beneficial import substitution
Also
at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum the company and the region signed
an agreement on cooperation in the field of import substitution and
supply of high-tech lubricants and bituminous materials. The company is
interested in buying high-tech industrial and scientific and technical
products of the region, and the Tomsk region – in the use of bituminous
materials, including for road construction.
According to
the press service, in the eight years since the launch of joint work,
the volume of purchases by Gazprom Neft enterprises of Tomsk high-tech
products has increased more than 20 times – from 900 million rubles in
2013 to almost 22 billion in 2020. The company's partner pool includes
about 40 Tomsk enterprises.
"The new agreement will
strengthen and expand our partnership with the Tomsk region. The
replacement of imported lubricants with Gazprom Neft's high-quality oils
and the use of our company's high-tech bitumens in road construction
and housing and public utilities no doubt contribute to the effective
development of infrastructure, the transport sector and other areas of
the regional economy", – Dyukov is quoted in the statement.
