TOMSK, Sep 8 –
RIA Tomsk. A conference on remote
healthcare will be held in Tomsk; experts from 16 countries will share their
experience in the field of telemedicine, air medical service work, online
trainings and industrial hygiene, one of the conference organizers, Director
for Marketing and Sustainable Development of the Center of Corporate Medicine
Elena Shestozub told.
She specified
that the conference "Remote Healthcare. A Course on Sustainable
Development" will be held in Tomsk during two days - on September 9 and
10. Seven sections are planned in Tomsk "Boiling Point" and a round
table on the basis of the Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
"This is
the third time this conference has been held in Tomsk. It is the only
conference on remote healthcare in Russia that is held with international
participation. This year, 47 speakers from 16 countries will speak at the
conference. These are Great Britain, USA, Norway, Austria, Thailand, Morocco,
UAE, Spain, Scotland, Russia, Slovenia, Italy, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil,
Kyrgyzstan," Shestozub said.
She added that
due to the pandemic and closed borders, not all speakers are able to travel to
Russia, so most of them will speak online. Representatives from Russia, the UAE
and Kyrgyzstan will speak in person.
"The
conference will address issues of maritime medicine and air medical service,
such as specifics of medical evacuations in COVID-19 conditions in the Far
North. We will talk about simulation training from the perspective of
evidence-based medicine and the transition to online medical training,
industrial hygiene and modern technologies in remote medicine," she said.
The conference
will be attended by representatives of major industrial companies,
non-commercial organizations, medics and scientists, including Nobel laureate,
WHO and UNEP European Office Advisor Boris Revich, UN Global Compact National
Network Executive Director Marina Vashukova, Vice-President of the
Resuscitation Council UK Andy Lockey.
