TOMSK, Dec 30 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk region is the first on the amount of financing of nature protection actions in the rating, made by public organization "Green Patrol" in the Russian Federation; the region took the tenth place in the general ecological rating, it is reported on the website of the organization.
According to the rating, the research was conducted among 84 regions of the Russian Federation. Tambov region is on the first place, and Altai Republic, Belgorod region, Chukotka Autonomous Area, Ulyanovsk, Kursk, Rostov and Tomsk regions, the Republic of Chuvashia and Altai Krai are in top ten.
"The special attention was paid to Tomsk region, which is on the first place in Russia on the level of financing of nature protection actions and on the 10th place in "Ecological rating of federal subjects of the Russian Federation" , – it is told in the message.
It is noted that Tomsk region is also highly estimated in the Civil Society nomination, which shows "the level of civil activity in any federal subject of the Russian Federation, considering quantity and degree of activity of local ecological NPOs, presence of initiative citizens and their associations". And quality of drinking water is unsatisfactory in the region, according to the results of the research.
The rating of the all-Russian public organization "Green Patrol" is formed since 2007 and is published quarterly since 2008.
