TOMSK, Dec 5 – RIA Tomsk, Karina Sapunova. Siberian metanolny chemical company (LLC Sibmetakhim, structure of JSC Vostokgazprom) plans to increase amounts of release of methanol to 1 million tons per year due to production upgrade by 2019, the deputy general director of the company for production Alexander Vdovin reported on Monday.
"As for methanol, we have a purpose today to increase capacities of production to 1 million tons per year, following the results of last year we made 850 thousand tons", – Vdovin told.
He specified that the program is implemented in two stages. The first stage of upgrade, which allowed to increase release of methanol from 2,5 thousand to 2,8 thousand tons of products a day, is complete this year. "The following stage is to 3 thousand tons per day", – Vdovin specified.
According to him, the second stage of upgrade shall come to the end by 2019. He did not specify the amount of investments.
LLC Sibmetakhim makes chemical products (methanol, formalin, urea formaldehyde concentrate). Initial raw materials is the natural gas extracted on fields of Vostokgazprom. Consumers of products of Sibmetakhim are the entities of the Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk regions, Krasnoyarsk Krai and Kazakhstan.
As it is explained in the company, methanol has several applications. It is also applied on fields of Gazprom to prevention of hydrates formation in pipelines.
