TOMSK, Jan 25 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) and three higher engineering schools of France signed cooperation agreements according to the program of the double diploma; the Russian students will study free of charge in such magistracy for three years, French – for four years, the press service of the university reports on Thursday.

"The rector of TSU Eduard Galazhinsky signed cooperation agreements according to the program of the double diploma with three higher national schools of France at once. Exchange programs will be realized between TDU and the Superior National School of Advanced Techniques ENSTA ParisTech, School of chemical sciences Chimie ParisTech and the Higher school of telecommunications of Telecom ParisTech", – it is said in the statement.

It is specified that all three schools are included into Paris Institute of Technology which is one of associations of universities of France and includes 12 higher engineering and business schools of Paris and suburbs. TSU plans to organize exchange programmes for five people maximum in each of three engineering schools.

It is noted that the Russian students will undergo preliminary selection in TSU, "taking into account their academic achievements and motivation for training in France". Knowledge of the English and French languages is obligatory. Acceptance takes place in an autumn semester. Russian students will study in such magistracy for three years, French – for four years. Training is free, but transportation costs and accommodation are paid by undergraduates.

"We are interested in that students studied at the strongest higher schools of the world and received the necessary competences there, but thus after study come back to Russia. Therefore the management of the university will agree with large corporations about that jobs would be resoirved for these students here, in the homeland", – the vice rector of TSU for international affairs Artem Rykun is quoted.

Earlier it was reported that TSU and the strongest engineering school École Polytechnique of France started the master program of the double diploma for engineers in June, 2017. TSU became the Russia's second university after Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) with which the French school signed the similar agreement.
