TOMSK, Jul 5 – RIA Tomsk. Research Library (RL) of Tomsk State University (TSU) and the Museum of history of Tomsk will create an excursion quest which will unite their exhibits to spring of 2020 and tell about the city history by means of the mobile application, the press service of the university reported on Friday.
It is specified that the project "Mysteries of history of Tomsk: creation of a thematic excursion quest within network partnership of RL TSU and the Museum of history of Tomsk" won the competition "New Role of Libraries in Education" of the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation. As the representative of the library specified RIA Tomsk, the project will receive a grant "in the amount of up to 300 thousand rubles".
"Implementation of the project will begin in August with detailed study of the concept of the excursion quest and formation of the route. In November the team will start a technical part: exhibits will be digitized, the mobile application will be created and tested. The presentation of the excursion quest is planned for spring of 2020", – it is said in the statement.

It is added that the excursion quest will take place in "places of memory" of Tomsk: on the place of foundation of the city and at the university where the formation and development of higher education beyond the Urals took place. The project will unite expositions of two museum platforms and by means of game methods and the mobile application will tell about the city history.
The book monuments which are stored in TSU library "will be presented in a uniform context with objects from funds of the Museum of history of Tomsk". The special mobile application will comprise a complex of questions and tasks, which it is possible to answer, having only passed through expositions of two museums.
"The excursion quest is an immersion in "live" history of Tomsk, history of people, books and objects. The project is implemented by our young employees under the leadership of the head of department of manuscripts and book monuments Kirill Konev so all features of the generation, born "with phone in hands", will be considered", – the director of the TSU Research library Artem Vasilyev is quoted in the message.
