large-scale educational intensive of Skolkovo Institute of Science and
Technology (Skoltech), where they present case studies of the university
related to the preparation of IT personnel for the digital economy, the press
service of TSU reported on Thursday.
The educational intensive course "Island
10-22" is organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and
Science. These days it takes place in Skoltech (Moscow). Intensive course aims at
the creation and development of teams of the regional universities that can
implement systemic changes in the field of training for technological
development.
Earlier it was reported that Tomsk – is on the third
place in the number of participating universities after Moscow and St.
Petersburg. Out of 180 applicants, Tomsk State University (TSU), Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics (TUSUR), Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building (TSUAB)
are in the hundred of participants.
"Ten representatives of TSU train university
management teams selected for the "Island 10-22", and present case
studies of the university: these are intensive training of IT specialists at
the TSU Higher IT School (HITs), analysis of students' interests through social
networks, adaptive educational platform for individual approach to the study of
mathematics in high school and others", – is said in the statement.

Thus, TSU employees Vyacheslav Goyko and Sergey Orlov
together with the deputy governor of the Tomsk region for scientific and
educational complex Lyudmila Ogorodova held a master class in management on the
basis of data in connection with digital transformation of the region.
It is added that 11 more representatives of TSU are
trained during the intensive courses.
"There are representatives of various departments
of TSU who participate in master classes – from artificial intelligence systems
in education to the technology brokerage laboratory. They should form such team
that will help lead TSU to technological breakthrough fully armed", – the
head of the TSU department of innovations in the sphere of science, equipment
and technologies Mikhail Golovatov is quoted in the message.
