TOMSK, May
24 – RIA Tomsk. How to make an online lecture interesting, what tools are
needed for a university teacher and a school teacher for distance education,
how to keep the attention of the audience being on the other side of the
monitor – these questions are answered by a specialized training program of
Tomsk State University (TSU).
This is the
course "Digital Technologies and Interactive Approaches in the Educational
Process". In connection with the transition of universities and schools to
distance learning, the program has become one of the most relevant. Teachers
are not always able to find information on the organization of training in new
ways in open sources, the help of experts is needed here. Any questions?
Welcome to TSU, where the best world practices are offered.
"The
audience of our program – is mainly teachers of universities, colleges, and
also the administrative staff of educational institutions", – tells the
digital curator of the TSU Institute of Distance Education Polina Sprukul. – We
teach them how to use digital tools to improve and optimize the educational
process".
She adds
that, according to psychologists, the modern generation of students and
schoolchildren has different perceptions of information than students of previous
generations.

"An
hour and a half lecture, where the teacher is standing by the blackboard and
just giving a lecture, the so-called “talking head” in the monitor, – is no
longer suitable for them. They do not absorb the information. We need to introduce
different tools, including digital ones. We deal with our listeners what tools
are there, how to integrate them into the educational process", – says
Sprukul.
Among the
tools – there are programs and applications for conducting webinars, posting
training assignments, interactive presentations, polls, quizzes for receiving
feedback from students, creating digital training materials, including
screencasts and longreads.
"Experts
of Tomsk State University tell how to work with it, about the pitfalls of
online learning, share tips on how to get out of difficult situations, answer
questions", – summarizes the agency’s interlocutor.
The launch
of a new group of the continuing education program "Digital Technologies
and Interactive Approaches in the Educational Process" is scheduled for
June. Classes will be held in a remote format. To enroll and get the curriculum
