TOMSK, Jun 16 – RIA Tomsk. RAEX agency compiled the ninth annual ranking of the hundred best universities in Russia, in which Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) took the ninth place, thereby re-entering the top ten ranking leaders, the university’s press service said on Tuesday.
As the press service of the university specified RIA Tomsk, in 2019 TPU took the 7th place in the overall RAEX ranking.
"The RAEX rating agency (RAEX-Analytics) compiled the ninth annual ranking of the best Russian universities RAEX-100. Following its results, TPU again entered the top ten ... Educational institutions of all federal districts of Russia were included in the final list. TPU took the ninth place in the ranking, gaining 4,1194 points", – is said in the report.

It is noted that TPU was the only university not from Moscow and St. Petersburg, presented in the top ten of the ranking. In addition to it, the top 10 also included Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, St. Petersburg State University and other "central" universities.
Tomsk Polytechnic University also took the eighth place in the line "Best universities in terms of quality education obtaining" and the tenth in the list of "Best universities in terms of research activity". According to the demand for graduates by employers, the university took the 14th place in the RAEX ranking.
Earlier it was also reported that in March 2020 there were four Tomsk universities – State (the 17th place) and Polytechnic (the 20th place) universities, as well as University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (the 58th place) and Siberian State Medical University (the 60th place) entered the first ranking of the most influential universities in Russia according to the RAEX agency.

Tomsk Polytechnic University – is the leading technical university of the country. It's founded in 1896 as Tomsk Technological Institute of Practical Engineers of Emperor Nicholas II. It became the first engineering university in the Asian part of the country.
