TOMSK, Jun 3 – RIA Tomsk.
Kyrgyzstan became another country which will buy products of Tomsk
agro-industrial complex Sibagro, the company plans to supply at least 40
tons of pork each month in Kyrgyzstan, despite the fact that 90% of the
population are Muslims; Krasnoyarsk pig farm (Sibagro subsidiary) has
sent the first 19 tons, the press service of the holding said.
"Sibagro
actively develops its export direction, and Kyrgyzstan has become a new
partner country for the company. The first shipment of bone-in pork was
made by Krasnoyarsk pig farm... The volume of the first consignment was
19 tons. The plan is to develop cooperation and make deliveries on a
regular basis. There is a preliminary agreement to supply at least 40
tons per month", – says the report.
According to the Sibagro
Head of the Export Sales Department Georgy Cholokyan, the Kyrgyz
Republic is a partner due to the fact that 90% of the population is
Muslim and pork cannot be eaten. Therefore, this market is quite modest,
but there is a need for pork.
"Our customers are
processors, so they have specific requirements for quality, as well as
the location of production, because logistics costs are an important
part of cooperation. Negotiations lasted six months, but we managed to
take everything into account, provide a good product and get positive
feedback", – he noted.
