TOMSK, Jun 3 – RIA Tomsk.Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) and
Rusatom Microelectronics (RAM) signed a cooperation agreement that
envisages joint research activities, student training and additional
training for teachers; the university and the company also plan to open
an R&D center, the university's press service said Thursday.
"Director
General of Rusatom Microelectronics Yuri Khomich and TUSUR Rector
Victor Rulevsky have signed an agreement on cooperation in research and
education, innovation and other spheres of activity. The main area of
cooperation is microelectronics, design and engineering of power
monolithic integrated circuits, and training of relevant personnel" , –
says the report.
The agreement includes realization of
educational programs on the scheme "school-university-enterprise" as
well as additional education for teachers. In addition, RAM and TUSUR
plan to conduct joint research, development, experimental and
technological works, as well as to develop other promising directions.
"I
very much expect that TUSUR will become not only a forge of personnel
for the Rosatom division, but also a development partner. We are
discussing the creation of a separate R&D center for RAM's tasks.
Due to our cooperation under the agreement with RAM it will be possible
to promptly solve the issues of scaling new tasks related to the
direction of microelectronics", – TUSUR Rector Rulevsky is quoted as
saying.
Also, TUSUR can become a base for implementation of a number of projects generated by RAM.
"Joining
efforts to solve the tasks of Rusatom Microelectronics of our key
partners, including Micran research and production company, the pool of
companies that are part of the university's educational-scientific-innovation
complex, as well as the startups being created will allow us to solve
the most ambitious tasks that State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom
will set before us", – the university's Vice-Rector for Research and
Innovation Anton Loshchilov is quoted as saying.

Rusatom Microelectronics is a new structure created as part of the
Automated Control Systems and Electrical Engineering Division of Rosatom
State Corporation. RAM will be responsible for the development of
relevant trusted elements and automation equipment based on them.
