TOMSK, Jan 17 –
RIA Tomsk. The International Winter
School started on Monday at Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR); students from 16 countries are taking part in it in
2022, the university's website reported on Monday.
The
International Winter School for International Students is a project of TUSUR
which allows for a short period of time to get a lot of information on a given
topic and immerse themselves in the academic atmosphere of the university. The
theme for 2022 is modern trends in the development of electronics.
"On the
seventeenth of January the International Winter School started at TUSUR. It
opened its doors to more than 40 students from 16 countries. Restrictions due
to the pandemic have so far prevented the school from being held in person. The
online format blurs the boundaries between countries and provides an
opportunity to get acquainted with the developments and research that TUSUR is
engaged in," says the report.
It is added that
during the two weeks master’s students from France, Spain, Algeria, Cote
d'Ivoire, Czech Republic, Tunisia, Senegal, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Guinea, Gabon,
Ethiopia, Bolivia, Cameroon, Bangladesh and Egypt will learn about promising
research areas in the field of microelectronics.
"The
classes will be held at the university's educational platform. For several
hours every day, TUSUR professors in English will immerse students in the world
of high technology," the university's press service said.
