TOMSK, Aug
11 – RIA Tomsk. Scientists of Tomsk State University of control systems and radioelectronics (TUSUR) develop software for UAVs which will allow to use two
navigation systems in devices– GPS and GLONASS that will increase safety of
flights, the press service of higher education institution reports on Tuesday.
It is
specified that now UAVs (drones) are used around the world for photo and video
filming, deliveries of goods, help to rescuers, search of people. Enhancement
of intellectual software for automatic flight of a device will allow to ensure
safety: to avoid collisions of thrones with living objects, airliners, the high
voltage line, birds.
"The
software is developed for programming of scenarios of automatic devices, for
example, of UAVs , – the scripting language of XRobot which is capable to
provide high accuracy of its positioning and can be applied as in aircraft
(multicopters, helicopters, planes, dirigibles), and in terrestrial devices
(wheel or caterpillar platforms)", – it is told in the message.

Developers
explain that the system provides completely automatic flight. The aircraft is
able to bend hindrances independently, to return to an original path, and to
look for a suitable place for landing, near the given coordinates.
According
to higher education institution, feature of the XRobot programming language is
the drone can use directly two navigation systems – GPS and GLONASS with its
help when flying, unlike the foreign analogs equipped only with GPS system.
"The
Uniqueness of the software is a two-level programming language. The low level
allows to be implemented into any microprocessor platform that is the software
can be set to already existing types of drones, and its application by
development of platforms of a domestic production is possible. The high level
will allow to write for a multicopter different scenarios", – higher
education institution reports.
