TOMSK, Jan 13 – RIA Tomsk. Physicians will use a set of exercises for rehabilitation of patients after a stroke, developed by scientists of Tomsk State University (TSU) for training of astronauts, the press service of the higher education institution reported.
It is specified, that a set of exercises, performed with a computer, was developed by TSU scientists to predict, how human possibilities change in space. They assume, that zero gravity can affect efficiency of activity of astronauts - without influence of gravity blood supply of a brain changes. The similar situation is in a brain of people, who had a stroke.
"It is very important to provide high-quality diagnostics of a patient from the very first days after a stroke and the most adequate procedure for rehabilitation. Application of the technique of TSU psychologists allows to provide qualitative feedback with a patient, to show, how effective rehabilitation is, the improvement of a patient's condition", – it is told in the message.

According to TSU, specialists of Krasnoyarsk State Medical University faculty of clinical psychology became the first partners of the Tomsk scientists in use of "space" development for recovery of people after a stroke. They joined the research about two weeks ago.
It is explained, that the Tomsk technique assumes performance not difficult, but unexpected spatial tasks. The test allows to define how quickly each of participants reacts to change of a situation, how accuracy and speed of movements change at the solving cognitive tasks.
According to the press service, in exchange for the help in rehabilitation of the patients, who had a stroke, the Tomsk scientists will be able to obtain data, which will allow to analyze and to predict recessions and rises in efficiency of astronauts. It will help to make the schedule of their work most effectively. For collection of the information a special website, where all data on performance of the tasks are downloaded, is created.
