TOMSK, Feb 5 – RIA Tomsk. The
scientist of Tomsk Polytechnical University (TPU) Pavel Haustov entered the
top-200 world's best programmers under the version of international project
Codeforces on competitive programming, the press-service of the university
reported on Friday.
According
to the press-service, Codeforces – is the international social network devoted to
competitive programming. Experts in the field of IT use a resource. On the
basis of a site regularly pass competitions on algorithmic programming. Pavel
Haustov has in the project the highest red rating and a rank of the grand
master.
"Pavel
Haustov takes 178 place among more than 25 thousand participants of the rating,
which indicates very high skill in the field of algorithmic
programming", - said in a statement.

It
is added that the polytechnic previously took high positions in the
international ratings, in particular, as a student he entered the top-100 list
of Google Сode
Jam, taking 97th place in it. The young scientists have already offered a job
by large IT organisations, including Google, Yandex and Mail.ru, however
Haustov stayed at the Tomsk Polytechnic University.
"I'm
interested in scientific work. While studying in the 10th grade of lycée at
TPU, I have visited for the first time classes on competitive programming at
the Institute of Cybernetics, and then I began to participate actively in the
competition as a part of TPU team <…> During this time, so to say,
I was involved into that, and ending lycée, I precisely knew, where I want
to study and whom I am going to become", - the press-service quoted
Haustov.
It
is noticed that Haustov holds now a position of the assistant to the Computer
Engineering Department of the TPU Institute of Cybernetics. In addition to
working at the department, the young scientist is the university team coach on
programming. Also Haustov trained for three years lycée's team to participate
in the All-Russia olympiad in informatics.
