Feb 18 – RIA Tomsk. Scientists of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) is
almost completed their work on the satellite which is scheduled for
launch from the board of the International Space Station (ISS) for the university's anniversary, the device passes last tests, the rector of the university Peter Chubik told journalists on Thursday.

Earlier
it was informed that in May 2016 TPU celebrates 120 years from the date
of its foundation. By the anniversary the university plans to launch
into an orbit the small satellite created with the use of the materials
developed by TPU scientists. Tomsk satellite will be the world's first
working spacecraft, some elements of which made by 3D-printing.
"The launch from Baikonur on the ship "Progress" is on March, 31st <…>. Even the team is already confirmed. The satellite is almost ready, just some tests are to be made", – said Chubik.
He has specified that the spacecraft itself is already made.
Previously
it was reported that the satellite will help to test a number of
developments of the university and its partners, and also will transmit a
signal-congratulation from polytechnics to the Earth.
