TOMSK, Oct 24 – RIA Tomsk. The resident of Tomsk
Ekaterina Bocharova who thought up the Wolf – the symbol of the FIFA World Cup
2018, sold to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) the
right to the sketch of a mascot for 500 dollars, she reported about it to
journalists on Monday.
Earlier it was reported that Russians during the voting process chosen
the thought-up by student of the Tomsk State University (TSU) Bocharova the
wolf football player as the symbol of the FIFA World Cup which will pass in
Russia in 2018. More than 50% of votes were given for the Wolf. In total the
final of a competition was reached by three works – Wolf, Cat and Tiger. For
final vote characters were finished by means of professional animators.

"(Sold) for 500 dollars", – answered Bocharova an appropriate
question of the journalist, having specified that the rights to the sketch were
redeemed by FIFA.
She added that transfer of rights was registered in competition
conditions therefore she couldn't refuse sale of a trademark.
According to Bocharova, at present she studies in the fourth year at
TSU. After the end of training she intends to work as the designer animator –
to create images of characters. Now the resident of Tomsk wants to work in the
animated company Disney.
