TOMSK, Mar 2 – RIA Tomsk. Three teams of the Tomsk sportsmen-tourists became prize-winners of the
World Cup on sports tourism thanks to rafting on one of the most difficult
rivers of Altai, automobile hike across Siberia and mountain one – across
Northern Tien Shan, the representative of the Tomsk federation of sports
tourism Alexey Makunin reported RIA Tomsk.
He explained that the championship took place in
different classes: water, hiking, mountain, bicycle and car / motorcycle
campaigns. In each of disciplines there were three nominations depending on
complexity of the passable routes from the fourth to the sixth – maximum – categories
of difficulty. In the last championship the autoroute brought to the Tomsk
athletes the second place, water route – the third.
"From us on the championship there were three
groups – the combined team of Tomsk. Preparation for the championship as
preparation for a sports route – the choice of "thread", selection of
equipment, selection of participants, passing of a route. An important stage –
is high-quality writing of the report on passing of the route, according to it
judges estimate complexity, novelty, safety, tension and usefulness of the
route", – Makunin told.

He specified that for rafting in August, 2016
residents of Tomsk chose one of the most difficult rivers of Altai – Kadrin.
The combined team of the Tomsk region became the third team which managed to
make full passing of the River to a route of the sixth category of complexity.
Alexey Yurichev directed the group. The general duration of the path made 14
days.
In June the group of five people under the leadership
of Makunin overcome more than 2 thousand kilometers by cars on the Tomsk,
Kemerovo regions, Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Khakassia. The campaign
of the fourth category of complexity took five days. Also in the summer
residents of Tomsk under the leadership of Igor Izmaylov passed mountain
"four" near the ridge of Ile Alatau on Northern Tien Shan
(Kazakhstan).
Makunin added that all three campaigns get
"bronze" in the nominations. According to him, member countries of
the International federation of sports tourism (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine,
Kazakhstan, Moldova, Lithuania) could participate in the championship, in the
event there were only routes passed for 2016.
