© Валерий Доронин, пресс-служба мэрии Томска TOMSK, Aug 8 – RIA Tomsk. The staff of the Engineering
Chemical Technological Сenter (ECTC) of Tomsk State University (TSU) developed
technology of creation of artificial porous fillers from slag waste of TPP and
metallurgical enterprises for production of building materials, the press
service of the university reports on Tuesday.
It is specified that the new
manufacturing techniques of building materials from the ash and slag materials
(ASM) – waste of TPP, thermal power plant and metallurgical industry – are
developed on the basis of ECTC TSU together with LLC Krona (Novosibirsk). The
final product of the technology is agloporite – the artificial porous filler
which is ideal for creation of light concrete.
"Agloporite allows to create
modified constructional concrete which easier than standard for 20-50%. Use of
such materials in construction reduces thermolysis of buildings... Having
organized a line of processing of ASM, industrial enterprises can not only save
on waste disposal, but also gain additional income", – the press service
quotes the director for development of ECTC TSU Ilya Mazov.

It is noted that the technology
allows to produce artificial porous fillers which aren't in the market of
Russia and the CIS countries today. They have the high durability and low
price.
Earlier it was reported that the
question with over-crowding of ash storages is particularly acute in the Tomsk
region, in particular their maintenance becomes economically unprofitable at
the Seversk TPP. Rosatom declared determination to construct experimental plant
on processing of ash and slag in the Tomsk region in 2015, however these plans
wasn't realized.
