© с сайта Томского политехнического университета TOMSK, Sep 20 – RIA Tomsk. The rector of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) Petr Chubik and the executive director of Roskosmos Alla Vuckovic
signed an agreement on cooperation in the framework of which the university
will train personnel for the objects of the state corporation, including
Baikonur and Vostochny cosmodromes, RIA Tomsk correspondent reports from the
scene.
The signing of the contract took place on Wednesday evening as part of the
Roskosmos Days at TPU. Earlier it was reported that the large-scale TPU action
Roskosmos Days started on September 19 and will last til September 23. In the
program of the Days is the meeting with cosmonauts, "space flash
mob", lectures of leading specialists of the space industry of the Russian
Federation.
"This event for us – is of historical importance ... This is a very
multilateral agreement, it has both basic and additional educational programs,
science, professional-oriented activity. Today we will legalize our civil
marriage, which has been verified by time and has already been tested for
strength. It is a great honor for us, and we will do our best to be a worthy
partner of the Roskosmos state corporation", – said Chubik at the signing
of the document.
"Tomsk Polytechnic University – is one of the best educational
institutions of the country. There is no such educational institution in the
country which is not in Moscow or St. Petersburg. We sign agreements only with
those who train highly qualified personnel, Tomsk Polytechnic University is
just among the number of such universities. And we hope for a long-term
cooperation", – Vuckovic noted.
According to TPU, having signed the agreement, the university and the state
corporation agreed to train specialists for Roscosmos enterprises, internship
programs and practices for students with the possibility of further employment
at Baikonur and Vostochny cosmodromes, as well as about conducting joint
scientific research.
