six medals at the All-Russia sambo competitions: three "gold", one
"silver" and two "bronze", the press service of the
regional department on youth policy and sport said on Monday.
It is specified that the sambo competitions named after Nikolay Chernyshev took
place in Biysk from 11 to 13 January. They were attended by more than 200
athletes from 2000-2001 year of birth from 12 regions of Russia. The Tomsk
region was represented by nine athletes from the Seversk Children's and Youth
Sports School "Rus'" and the Tomsk Center of Sports and Combat Sambo
"Crystal".
"Tomsk athletes won three gold medals, one silver and two bronze
medals", – is said in the report said.
It is explained that three "gold" belong to youth sambo wrestlers
Nikita Sakerin, Vladislav Vasiliev and Sarkhan Suleimanov. They will go to
represent the Tomsk region at the championship of Russia, which will be held in
Saratov from February 1 to February 5.
It is also reported that Angelica Myasnikova, an inmate of the
"Crystal" center, won a silver medal in the weight category of 48
kilograms, while inmates of the "Rus'" Children's and Youth Sports
School Anastasia Gorbunova and Anastasia Naumova took bronze in the weight
category of 52 and 65 kilograms respectively.
