May 24 – RIA Tomsk. X5 Retail Group will test
development of students of Tomsk State University (TSU) on rejection of stale
goods by means of thermoactive marks; " marks-chameleons" will help
buyers and staff of shops to establish whether the temperature regime was
observed at storage of the goods, the press service of the company reported on
Thursday.
According to the representative of the press service, the technology of
rejection of stale goods by means of thermoactive marks is developed by
students of TSU which is a partner of X5 in the field of development of
technologies since 2016. The innovation will be tested in shops in the nearest
future.
"Marks-chameleons" will help buyers and staff of shops to
establish whether temperature condition during the transporting and storage of
production was observed. This technology is especially relevant for quality
control of the frozen products which defrosting will change color of the mark
and won't return the initial color at repeated freezing any more", – the
interlocutor of the agency told.
She added that the company will test one more technology with use of
"marks-chameleons" – control of the goods expiration date. "At
the wrong storage the expiration date of a product can decrease and to keep
track of current state of goods, some suppliers of X5 will apply special marks
foor the production which under different temperature conditions change the
color with a different speed", – the representative of X5 explained.
For example, the mark will completely darken in six days at a
temperature of plus 4 degrees, and in four and a half days at a temperature of
plus 6 degrees: "By means of such marks buyers will be able to obtain
reliable information about quality and safety of products, and the staff of
retailer – to update goods in trading floors more quickly and to eliminate
violations of storage conditions of production".
