TOMSK, Jun 28 – RIA Tomsk. The monument to happiness "I'll sing right now!", as well as the sculptures of Chekhov and the "Baby in cabbage", set in Tomsk, were included into the list of the best objects for selfies in Russia, according to the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
It is specified that the list of the most original monuments in the regions of the Russian Federation, which will please both the lovers of selfies and professional photographers, was compiled by the specialists of the "ATOR Vestnik". Representatives of tour operators - experts of the committee on import substitution in tourism under the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation were interviewed. For this polling were intentionally chosen non-urban cities.
"Let's start with Tomsk. The most creative city in terms of monuments, where it is possible to take pictures with a monument to house slippers, ruble and even happiness. The monument to Chekhov, installed on the embankment of the Tom River, is no less interesting for Tomsk residents", – is said in the report.
It is noted that as the most original experts considered the monument to happiness "I'll sing right now!" ("Schas spoyu!") in the form of a wolf from the animated film "Once Upon a Dog", established in Tomsk for the 400th anniversary of the city in 2005. In addition, in the list was included the sculpture "Baby in cabbage", installed in 2008 near the maternity hospital № 1.
It is added that among other Siberian monuments in the list of the best for selfies there are Krasnoyarsk "Tsar-fish" and "Uncle Vasya-drunkard". Also in the list there are presented unusual sculptures of Astrakhan, Ulyanovsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Veliky Novgorod, Lipetsk, Tambov, Belgorod and Saransk.
