company - the leading trader of grain and oilseeds in the markets of Great
Britain and the European Union, during a visit to Tomsk region highly
appreciated the organic products of the local cooperative
"SibBioProduct"; in 2018, exports to the European markets of its
products - peas, flax, rapeseed and rye - are planned to triple, the press
service of the regional administration reported on Friday.
It is reported that the representative of the Gleadell company Anthony
Kenny in the framework of the visit got acquainted with the products of the
companies-members of the "SibBioProduct" cooperative, which was
created on the initiative of OOO "TDS-Group". It consists of seven
certified farms, three more plan to join. The products of the cooperative are
certified according to European standards. In 2017 Gleadell already bought
wheat and peas from Tomsk.
"The purpose of my visit - is to get to know people who are engaged
in the production of organic products in the Tomsk region ... Before buying
grain, foreign buyers want to see for themselves that the produce is real, and
the culture of organic farming is carried out according to all canons ...
Having visited the Tomsk fields, I was satisfied", - Kenny's words are
cited in the message.
It is noted that the Tomsk cooperative sold more than 200 million rubles
in organic production of the harvest in 2017. "The volume of exports is planned
to triple in 2018. Tomsk wheat, peas, flax and rapeseed are in constant demand
among foreign buyers. Negotiations on export of while rye, barley, oats and
buckwheat are being conducted", - is added in the release.
