RIA Tomsk. Сommission of happiness where scientists of Tomsk State
(TSU) and Pedagogical (TSPU) universities enter, develops a methodology for
teaching lessons of happiness at schools of Russia, the vice-president of the
Tomsk office of the Russian Geographical Society (RGS) Evgeny Kowalewski told
journalists on Thursday.
Earlier it was reported that
the delegation of the Kingdom of Bhutan during the visit to Tomsk in March,
2017 signed the memorandum of understanding with TSU and the Tomsk office of
RGS – the parties agreed to conduct the joint researches directed to
improvement of quality of life of society.
As Kowalewski specified at the
press conference in the RIA Tomsk media center, within the document the
commission of happiness where TSU, TSPU scientists and representatives of the
Tomsk office of RGS and the sports sphere entered was created in 2018 in the
Tomsk region.
"The task of the
commission is to develop a methodology for teaching lessons of happiness at the
Russian schools as additional education. It has to be an interesting format –
not morals, but demonstration of opportunities of internal harmony of a
person", – Kowalewski told.
He added that the methodology
will rely on experience of the countries where similar lessons are already
taught at schools, including Germany, the UAE, the Netherlands and the Kingdom
of Bhutan.
As the executive director of
the Tomsk RGS Yulia Kolyuzhnaya specified to journalists, it is planned to
develop the methodology in 2019-2020. Now negotiations with regional Department
of Education are conducted that its experts were also included into the
commission.
