education of RF Mikhail Kotyukov approved new structures of Supervisory Boards
TSU and TPU; governor of Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin became chair of board in
TSU instead of President's Plenipotentiary Representative in State Duma Harry
Minkh, region administration’s press service reported.
Earlier it was reported that Zhvachkin became the chairman of the
Supervisory board of the Tomsk Polytechnic University for the second time on
December, 10. The deputy minister of science and higher education of the
Russian Federation Alexey Medvedev, the director for development of URALCHEM
JSC Sergey Galibeev, the space pilot Sergey Krikalev, the vice president of RAS
and the chairman of the Siberian Branch of the RAS Valentin Parmon and the
vice-president of the mangement board of PJSC Gazprom Sergey Homyakov were also
included into the board.
According to the press service of the region administration, a meeting
of the updated boards of Tomsk State University and Tomsk Polytechnic University
took place in representation of the Tomsk region at the Government of the
Russian Federation in Moscow. The new structures of boards were approved by the
minister of science and higher education of the Russian Federation Mikhail
Kotyukov.
"The governor Sergey Zhvachkin is elected the chairman of the
supervisory boards of the Tomsk national research universities – Polytechnic
(TPU) and State (TSU)", – it is said in the statement.
It is specified that Zhvachkin was also the previous part of the
supervisory board of TSU, which chairman the Russian President's
Plenipotentiary in the State Duma Harry Minkh was from 2014 to 2018.
It is added with reference to the governor that the supervisory boards
of TSU and TPU will promote creation of one of world scientific education
centers in Tomsk.
