Tomsk "Siberian Milk" start the production of Gruyère cheese in 2019

TOMSK, Jan 28 – RIA Tomsk. Mini-plant on production of Gruyère cheese open in May 2019 on the basis of robotic complex of Tomsk "Siberian Milk" company in the village of Yagodnoe, Asino district; it is planned to produce up to 100 kilograms of cheese every day, investment will amount to 30 million rubles, is reported on the website of the regional Agrarian Center on Monday.

It is explained that Gruyère - is an elite Swiss cheese for true connoisseurs, made from selected cow's milk, long ripening, investment-intensive, with a unique taste with a nutty aftertaste.

It is noted that the building of the workshop for the production of cheese has already been built on the basis of the robotic complex "Siberian Milk" in the village of Yagodnoe, Asino district, and now finishing works are conducted there. In April 2019, the workers will begin the installation of the equipment, and they will be advised by professors of the “Technology of Food Products of Animal Origin” department of Kemerovo State University.

"Every day it is planned to process one ton of milk and get up to 100 kilograms of cheese. The total investment in the project will amount to 30 million rubles ... The production of cheese is scheduled to start in May 2019. But it will be possible to try the first products only in spring 2020, as the laid cheese will ripen only a year later", - is said in the statement.

It is added that in the production will work cheese makers - graduates of Kemerovo Institute of Food Science and Technology.

The construction project of a dairy farm for 800 head of cattle of a holstein breed of the "Siberian Milk" company was launched in October 2016. In August 2017, the company launched the first farm building for 400 forage cows. The second stage - for 400 heads - was launched in August 2018. The farm is equipped with modern technology, robots are engaged in milking and feeding of animals here.
