TOMSK, Mar 20 – RIA Tomsk. Production of new types of Tomsk
wound-healing dressings VitaVallis can be opened in India, the agreement on
this was signed during the visit of the Tomsk delegation to this country, the
director of the Akvelit company Natalia Kirilova told RIA Tomsk; according to
her, it will be easier for Tomsk innovative product to reach Europe through
India.
For dentistry and gynecology
"During our visit to India, we signed the agreement on joint development of
new products for wound treatment based on anti-microbial wound-healing material
VitaVallis with our partner from Hyderabad. We assume to work together a new
type of products – wound healing materials for dentistry and gynecology and to
finish certification of products within the framework of the contract signed
earlier", – Kirilova told.
According to her, in 2018 the first batch of anti-microbial material
VitaVallis was sent to India. Now, together with the partner, the issue of
manufacturing technology is being worked out - the partner himself will cut and
pack the sheets into the finished product.
"The procedure (working off the technology) took more time than we
expected. In addition, Indian legislation on production of medical products
tightened last year. However, we are working on solving all issues. In any
case, entering the Indian market through the supply of semi-finished products
easier than going there with finished products: each country protects its
market", – Kirilova explained.

She reported that now there are being considered the options on where the
production will be located – perhaps this will be the city of Hyderabad, but
the variant of organizing it in Europe is also not excluded:
"Through India it will be easier for us to get into the European market with
our innovative material – even if on the packaging it will be sign "made
in India". Because certification issues are among the most difficult in
promoting medical products abroad. So, another year we applied for the
Philippine certificate back, we had to do it within two months ... In Europe,
this is even more difficult, and they have a historically closer relationship
with India".
According to preliminary calculations, at the start of sales
"Akvelit" will be able to supply about five thousand sheets of
material per year to India. According to Kirilova, now VitaVallis dressings are
sold in South Africa, Poland, the countries of the Persian Gulf, Vietnam and
Kazakhstan, and the other day a test batch will be sent to Algeria.
