TOMSK, Mar 22 – RIA Tomsk. The winner of the Tomsk stage of Science Slam will be able to
apply for participation in scientific battle in the United States, as well as
act in the program "Scientific Stand-up" on the "Culture"
channel, the press service of the regional administration said on Friday.
Earlier it was reported that the battle of young
scientists Science Slam will be held in Tomsk within the framework of the
U-NOVUS-2019 forum. It will be held in Tomsk from May 15 to May 17.
It is noted that the collection of applications for
participation in the Tomsk battle of scientific reports Science Slam will last
until April 15. The main selection criteria are - creativity and availability
of presentation. In the finals will be six of the best speakers. Within 10 days
they will be trained on effective presentations from the “School of nonboring
report”, they will learn how to arrange presentations, write jokes and speak in
public.
"The winner of the Tomsk Science Slam will be
able to apply for the All-Russian, German-Russian and tripartite Science Slam
(Germany - Russia - USA), which will be held this year in the US. In addition,
he, like the rest of the project finalists, will be able to participate in the
program "Scientific Stand-up" on the channel "Culture", -
is said in the statement.
It is specified that the winner can also be a guest
scientist or a participant of Science Slam in other cities of Russia.
Science Slam (from English "scientific
battle") - is the German popularization format for science, when young
scientists present their research during an exciting stand-up show in an
informal setting.
