© РИА Томск. Павел Стефанский TOMSK, Apr 12 – RIA Tomsk. The "Tomsk Mills"
company registered the trademark in China, according to the official page of
the Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Facebook social network;
according to the company's deputy director for sales Andrey Aleksandrov, the company
plans to supply small-scale flour to China.
"The Tomsk company "Tomsk Mills"
<...> received the legal protection of the international registration of
the trademark in China", – is said in the report.
As Alexandrov told, the "Tomsk Mills"
company first began to supply flour to China in 2017. “We produce 500 tons of
flour every day. In 2018 we supplied about 700 tons to China - this is a miser
in our production volumes”, - he commented.
The main difficulty in trading with China, according
to the agency interlocutor, is that foreign customers buy Tomsk flour
"sporadically", that is, not on a permanent basis. Therefore, it is
now difficult to predict how much flour will be sent to the Middle Kingdom in
2019.
"In China, there is a broad layer of the middle
class, which can afford to consume more expensive goods, not local ones. We
plan to send them the goods that the Chinese are most interested in - these are
small-packaged products, bags of flour of two kilograms", - said
Aleksandrov, adding that the enterprise needed the registration of the
trademark in order to exclude the possibility of counterfeiting Tomsk products.
