TOMSK, Oct 9 – RIA
Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) included in
corporate educational program of SIBUR and Tomsk Polytechnic (TPU) for Chemical
engineering personnel training, head of SIBUR corporate university direction
"Work with universities, colleges, schools" Julia Vorotnikova told
RIA Tomsk.
Earlier it was
reported that TPU and SIBUR together with Polytechnic University of Milan
launched the Chemical Engineering professional retraining program for the
holding's specialists. Within the framework of the program SIBUR corporate
university plans to train engineers and technical personnel with world-class
skills and knowledge in international engineering programs.
"We unite
universities in several regions on the principles that each university has its
own zest. Someone in Tomsk is good at developing catalysts, some at polymer
synthesis, someone in the IT sphere. And we are interested in creating a
unified network a program for a graduate to receive a full range of skills.
TPU, TSU, as well as TUSUR, which will provide digital competencies, will enter
the "mosaic", – Vorotnikova said.
According to
her, the training within the framework of the program will be multi-level. At
the first stage (bachelors and specialists) training will take place according
to a single program, regardless of the university. In addition to theoretical
knowledge, students will receive hard skills in working specialties that will
allow them to work in SIBUR in ordinary positions. But the master's degree
studies for each university will go according to its own program.
"Our
program will bring the bachelors and specialists to a semi-standard of an
engineer. And after that each university will conduct its own educational
track. In Western universities, all these tracks are combined as a set of
specializations of the student’s choice, but in Russia there is no such loyalty
within the framework of the master’s program, so we we’ll go to
universities", – explains Vorotnikova.

According to
her, SIBUR plans to "roll around" educational technologies for
training chemical engineers of the international level within the framework of
the already launched Chemical engineering program, in which TPU students
participate. Currently, local professors already have experience reading
courses in English. In universities teach individual professors from abroad.
But there is no experience in combining Russian and European educational
systems.
"The
experience when the Russian block of the program smoothly flows into the
European block (we are talking about the curriculum of Polytechnic University
of Milan), and this is available through a Russian university, this will be the
first time in the country", – Vorotnikova noted.
It was
previously reported that Chemical engineering – is a modular program in which,
in addition to chemical technology, there will be sections on lean
manufacturing, information technology and big data. The program will also
include a soft skills module, which will be conducted by specialists from the
scientific and technological university "Sirius" (Sochi), where the
final defense of the cases will take place at the end of the program.
