TOMSK, Jan 9 – RIA Tomsk. The process of transferring authority to manage the "Tomsk" Special Economic Zone (SEZ) from the federal to the regional level has been fully completed, the SEZ website reported.
It was previously reported that the transfer of authority to manage SEZ from the federal to the regional level began in the summer of 2017, and therefore the construction of the Expocenter and the Engineering Center, which began in 2015, was suspended. It was planned to complete the transfer of powers in August 2019. The regional authorities planned to complete the Expocenter in 2021, and the Engineering Center - by mid-2023, for this it was planned to attract about 2 billion rubles.
"The process of transferring powers to manage the technical and innovative type of special economic zone "Tomsk" to the regional level has been completed ... Since the transfer of shares of the (SEZ) management company to the regional level in January 2020, the implementation of the road map has been finally completed", - is said in the statement.
It was also previously reported that the volume of investments of residents of the "Tomsk" SEZ in their production during its existence reached by the end of 2018 of the budget costs for the construction and development of the SEZ - 14 billion rubles. At the end of 2019, 45 resident companies were registered in the "Tomsk" SEZ.
