TOMSK, Aug 24 – RIA Tomsk. Concern VKO "Almaz-Antey" and the Tomsk region signed a roadmap at the "Army-2020" forum, under which regional enterprises will receive orders and jobs; the corporation to open a scientific and educational center on the basis of Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR), the regional administration’s press service said.
Earlier it was reported that the Tomsk authorities intend to reach an agreement on cooperation between Tomsk enterprises and the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation. Import substitution of high-tech products should become a key area. The region has similar roadmaps signed with such corporations as Gazprom, Rosneft, Gazprom Neft, Rosseti, Rosatom, Roscosmos, Inter RAO and others.
According to the press service, at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2020", which is taking place in Kubinka near Moscow, Tomsk Governor Sergey Zhvachkin and the Director General of the Almaz-Antey concern Jan Novikov signed a roadmap to expand cooperation between the concern and enterprises, scientific organizations and universities of Tomsk.
"We have agreed with Almaz-Antey to organize a joint scientific and educational center in Tomsk to carry out research and development work. This center will be created on the basis of Tomsk University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics. <...> TUSUR, which has unique competencies will train specialists for the enterprises of the concern", - the governor is quoted.
It is specified that until 2024 the most promising areas of cooperation between the concern and Tomsk enterprises will be the creation of production technologies and the expansion of the use of domestic electronics, the creation of promising systems and measuring instruments for radio engineering products, mechatronic and robotic components and systems based on them. Micran research and production company will become a key partner.

Earlier it was reported that since 2012, the Tomsk region has signed roadmaps on the supply of products of local enterprises, including import substituting. The import substitution programs of the largest Russian companies (as of mid-2019) involve 30 enterprises of the Tomsk region. From 2013 to 2019, the deliveries of Tomsk products according to roadmaps exceeded 55 billion rubles.
The Concern VKO "Almaz-Antey" was created in 2002 and united the enterprises that were engaged in the development and production of anti-aircraft missile systems of short, medium and long range, the main types of radar reconnaissance equipment and automated control systems, follows from the data of the concern's website. Today it includes more than sixty enterprises from 18 regions of the country.
