biathlon team, which includes a native of the Tomsk region Svetlana Mironova,
won the relay at the seventh stage of the World Cup in Antholz, Italy, TASS
reported on Sunday.
Earlier it was reported that Svetlana Mironova as part
of the Russian national biathlon team, on January 10 won the first gold at the
World Cup in the mixed relay within the framework of the fifth stage of the Cup
in Oberhof, Germany.
"The Russian women's team (consisting of Evgeniya
Pavlova, Tatyana Akimova, Svetlana Mironova and Ulyana Kaisheva) won the relay
at the seventh stage of the Biathlon World Cup, which is taking place in Antholz,
Italy", – reports TASS.

It is added that the second place was taken by the
German team, 11 seconds behind the Russians. The French women came third,
losing more than 21 seconds. Thus, in the standings of the women's relay races,
the Russian team rose to the fourth place.
Earlier it was reported that Mironova was born on
February 22, 1994 in the village of Moryakovsky Zaton near Tomsk. From the age
of seven she was engaged in the ski section with the coach Nikolay Losev, then
switched to biathlon. In the ninth grade, she was twice champion of the Tomsk
region in cross-country skiing, and at the age of 17 she became a candidate for
master of sports in skiing and biathlon.
In 2011 she moved to Yekaterinburg. She made her debut
in the Biathlon World Cup as part of the Russian national team in the 2016/2017
season, and in 2019 she topped the rating of Russian biathletes.
