RIA Tomsk. Siberian Chemical Plant (SCP,
part of the Rosatom's fuel company TVEL) reported to the deputies of the Duma
of the Closed Administrative-Territorial Entity Seversk on the activities of
the enterprise in 2020, so, according to preliminary data, the SCP's revenue
exceeded 15.3 billion rubles, the press service of the plant reported on
Friday.
Earlier it was
reported that SCP's revenue in 2019 amounted to just over 12 billion, and its
net profit then reached almost 2.4 billion rubles.
"According
to preliminary data, the revenue of Siberian Chemical Plant JSC (in 2020)
exceeded 15.3 billion rubles. The average number of employees as of January 1,
2021 is 3,211 people, 198 of which work in the units of the pilot and
demonstration energy complex under the Proryv project
("Breakthrough")", – says the message.
It is added
that, within the framework of the development of new industries, the enterprise
is currently focused on the implementation of four main projects of non-nuclear
activities, such as the creation of titanium dioxide production, production of
additives based on fluorocarbon materials, as well as increase in the
production of isotope products.
Earlier it was
reported that in February 2021 Rostekhnadzor issued a license to SCP for the
construction of an experimental reactor BREST-300, the total cost of which will
be 26.3 billion rubles. Rosatom has been implementing a project to create a
pilot and demonstration energy complex with a new reactor and to produce
uranium-plutonium fuel at the enterprise since 2011.
Siberian
Chemical Plant JSC is one of the largest enterprises of the nuclear industry of
the Russian Federation. It unites four plants for handling nuclear materials.
It meets the needs of nuclear power plants for uranium for nuclear fuel,
produces heat and electricity, and also implements a number of non-nuclear
projects. It is the backbone enterprise of the closed city of Seversk of the
Tomsk region.
