TOMSK, May 24 –
RIA Tomsk. Tomsk hotel Kuhterin has applied for a
"five stars" category, the contract with an accredited organization
from St. Petersburg has already been signed, in the near future an expert will
come to Tomsk for evaluation, the manager of the hotel Natalia Zakharova told
RIA Tomsk.
"We opened
in December 2020, and since January 1, 2021 a new "Regulation on the
Classification of Hotels" of the Russian government came into force. To
get "stars" you need to get a certain number of points. We have
calculated that room capacity and services in Kuhterin exceed a minimum
required to get the "five star", so we decided to apply for that
category," Zakharova said.
According to
her, they have already signed a contract with an accredited organization from
St. Petersburg, in the near future is expected the arrival of an expert to
assess the hotel for compliance with the declared category.
"The
requirements to the hotel rooms, claiming to be assigned a certain category,
are described in detail in the Regulations of the Russian government. If there
is a lack of points (for example, no second elevator), you can "get" them
with additional services (for example, the presence of a spa area or a
gym)," the interlocutor said.
She noted that
the most difficult thing is the requirement to have a mandatory buffet for
breakfast: "In Tomsk a buffet is not profitable. The most status hotels in
the city usually offer a few dishes to choose from a special menu. But since
the whole world is used to a buffet, we will have to arrange it for us, too, if
we want to get "five stars". Now we are also finishing the gym and
the swimming pool."
An application
for accreditation for five-star category costs more than 90 thousand rubles,
the visit of an expert of an accredited organization is paid separately. The
certificate of the category is valid for three years.
The list of
tourist objects of the Federal Agency for Tourism includes 59 Tomsk hotels. Six
hotels are of "4 stars" category (Magistrat, Xander, Gogol Hotel, Bon
Apart, Toyan and Scandinavia). There are 21 three-star hotels.
