TOMSK, Sep 14 – RIA Tomsk. Governor of the Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin lifted restrictions on catering at night, the press service of the regional administration reported on Tuesday.
Earlier it was reported that a mask regime and a number of restrictions on public events are in effect in the region. Since July 12, authorities again imposed restrictions on catering establishments.
"The infection rate is steadily decreasing, and nightlife businesses affected by the restrictions can finally return to work. And for our students, catering establishments are not only recreation, but also a part-time job," Zhvachkin is quoted in the message and it's explained that the cancellation of restrictions applies to restaurants and catering.
It is added that the decision of the regional crisis center does not cancel the implementation of the requirements of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor): social distance, masks and hand disinfection remain mandatory.
"Vaccination also continues. I am pleased that students, teachers, and small businesses are actively involved in it. The pace of vaccination should by no means be reduced if we want to live a normal, full life. And I strongly advise those who haven't yet been vaccinated not to procrastinate," the governor is quoted as saying.
As the head of the Regional Department of Consumer Market Natalia Zabavnova clarified to RIA Tomsk, the cancellation of restrictions also applies to clubs and bars.
