TOMSK, Sept 16 – RIA Tomsk. Students from oil faculty of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) developed slippers-vacuum cleaners for cleaning, having placed the small vacuum cleaner in a backpack which is connected with two platforms for feet from a usual heater of penoplex with hoses, the press service of the higher education institution reports.
"We created our boots for people who have problems with a back, for whom it is hard to bend. We transferred the main weight of the design to a back; the vacuum cleaner is placed in a backpack. But the backpack allows to distribute the loading that a back wasn't so tired", – one of developers Alexander Krivenkov is quoted in the message.

The design together with boots, hoses and the vacuum cleaner weighs no more than five kilograms, it is not heavier than the first grader's schoolbag, and is constructed of simple materials. The students used the ordinary small vacuum cleaner, hoses from a washing machine and penoplex for slippers. All this allowed to make an easy and cheap design. According to the students, they already tested the design: cleaned the room from dust and balls of polyfoam.
"The slippers did perfectly. It is possible to clean in corners, it is necessary just to put the slippers on an edge, and a carpet can be cleaned also. Speed of cleaning isn't increased", – one of developers noted.
They emphasize that not the speed and quality of cleaning was a main goal of creation of the device, but opportunity to relieve a person of need to bend.
"Students say that they are ready to continue work on the project, to improve the design if there will be interested in such slippers-vacuum cleaners parties. They counted that the final cost of one copy will make for a consumer from 2 to 6 thousand rubles depending on the chosen accessories", – was summarized in the higher education institution.
